Homeopathic Remedies for Heartburn in Pregnancy

This blog post will help you say goodbye to pregnancy heartburn with homeopathic remedies.

You may be experiencing heartburn for a few reasons…

  1. with your expanding belly, your stomach has less space to expand
  2. hormones have relaxed the sphincter of the stomach, making it easier for acid to escape
  3. hormones have caused your digestion to slow and your liver to work less efficiently

Some simple things to try…

  • eating smaller meals more frequently, thoroughly chewing each bit
  • trying not to drink a lot of fluids with your meals, as to not bloat the stomach
  • avoiding foods that have caused you discomfort
  • drinking ginger or chamomile tea
  • eating an apple after a meal and/or before bed

Regardless of the cause or if the above suggestions helped a bit or not, rest assured that you can find help in one of the remedies below.

PAY ATTENTION to what sets you off, what makes the heartburn better, what it feels like, where it exactly is. These details will guide you to the remedy that your body needs.

With my clients, I recommend the acute does of 30CH, unless otherwise mentioned. For help on how often to take your chosen remedy, along with other important information, please read through this blog post.

The following cell salt can be used alongside one of the chosen remedies, or on it’s own…

Nat phos 6X

This cell salt has an amazing ability to relieve a range of symptoms related to acidity in the body. Nat phos can stimulate the body’s ability to break down the acids and restore a natural balance without slowing digestion or neutralizing the acids needed to digest food.

You may choose to add in this cell salt 2-3x per day until heartburn is a thing of the past.
